ADORE: a little inspiration & the challenge entries

And I thought I would keep everyone updated on the challenge entries this time (so keep checking back here). Thanks to all who have participated!

With the holidays just around the corner, I have an early Christmas gift for all of you! (By the way, is it just me, or have stores everywhere just totally skipped over Thanksgiving?) Anyways, I have been working hard to get this new paper collection together and I'm so excited to post it in here today. It is called "ADORE" and it was inspired by my upcoming wedding anniversary in December. (I'm a TOTAL fan of winter weddings.) I hope you adore it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

I'm genuinely sorry to have kept you waiting for so long, but here are the winners of my latest challenge:
Happy Halloween everyone! Although, to be quite honest, I'm not one to go all out for this holiday...I'm more of a Christmas person =). I'm still trying to get my costume together for school tomorrow and get Ethan's costume finished, but I thought I'd post a little treat for you first. Here is a set of spookily modern Halloween papers, perfect for all those cute costume pictures. It was an experiment in different patterns and techniques...so feel free to take if you like. I hope you all get to enjoy a little treat for yourselves amidst the craziness brought on by all the excess sugar. hahaha.
Oh, and before I forget...FABULOUS layouts for the challenge everyone! Keep them coming! I absolutely LOVE what you've been doing with those papers. Thank you so much for participating and supporting my work! Have a great weekend ladies!

Good morning ladies! I hope that everything is well with you. Well, since I just announced the winners of the last challenge, I suspect that you knew this post would be coming =). Things in my life have finally started to settle down, and once again life seems somewhat under control. My class is moving along like a well-oiled machine, back-to-school night has come and gone, and this weekend we cleared out all the "junk" in our home that we haven't used in over a year. (How do we accumulate so much stuff?!?) I finally feel like I can breath...and think...and design =).
I have LOVED having all of you along on my journey as a newbie designer. All of your feedback, your wonderful layouts, your participation in my challenges, has really been so encouraging and helpful as I develop my skills. I have decided to focus in on one aspect of designing at a time and "master" that one area as much as I can before moving on. I feel like I excitedly rushed into designing everything at once and the quality that I'm looking for is just not there yet. (I am definitely my harshest critic) So I want to take a step back and take everything more slowly and carefully. As a total paper freak, it was natural for me to start there. So here it is: HARVEST, a modern paper pack with colors that hint of Thanksgivings past. It comes with 12 textured papers (5 plain, and 7 patterned). Enjoy!

Good morning everyone! Soooooo sorry that it has taken me so long to post this. I finally got some quiet time to myself (woo hoo! AND on a Saturday morning! Double woo hoo!!!). First of all, thanks to everyone who participated in our "CHANGE" challenge. As usual, you were all SO creative with the theme. I really loved learning about all of the changes in your lives, and hope that things continue to change for all of you in a positive direction.
I am so excited to announce that a fabulous new collaboration kit between Paislee Press and Fei Fei's Stuff called "Embrace" will be released on September 17 at Oscraps. It is a BEAUTIFUL kit and I had so much fun playing with it. It is definitely a MUST HAVE! Both designers will also be hosting a challenge on their blogs on the day of the release, so be sure to check it out!
I am very pleased to announce that we had another great challenge! There were 13 participants total, and the layouts were FABULOUS! I'm so glad that you all had fun with my WHIMSY itty bitty. The three lucky ladies that were selected at random are: merel, iNg, and kym. Congratulations!!! (I LOVE the fact that we've had completely new winners each time.) Please email me at threepaperpeonies @ gmail.com so I can send you the download links to the full kit.
I recently got the chance to play with two amazing kits from my fav designers at Oscraps. The first one is from Fei Fei's Stuff called "Plum Autumn". It is full of gorgeously textured/patterned papers and beautiful, delicate elements inspired by autumn and shades of plum. It is a BEAUTIFUL kit and so easy to create layouts with.
Hello everyone! I had my first day back at work and I'm exhausted. There were no students today, but my time was spent in meetings, unpacking my belongings, and rearranging the furniture in my classroom. As a last hurrah, I'm headed to the beach this weekend with my family, so I figured I would extend the deadline for the challenge. Woo hoo!!! The final deadline will be 12 midnight (PST) on Sunday, August 30th. That will give you a whole weekend to scrap =). The count is officially up to 18, so keep 'em comin'! (Just 12 more to reach 30!) Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Well, I just couldn't help myself. I saw how much you were enjoying "DRAWN" that I had to release this second collection of fun hand-drawn doodles. I got a new wacom tablet and have been glued to the computer ever since. (Actually, I was already glued to the computer. hahaha.) Anyways, here are 9 hand-drawn doodles + one word art that come in colored and outlined versions. You can use them on so many different layouts, in so many different ways, to add that little touch of whimsy. And once again, if you apply your blending modes to them, the possibilities are endless. (Leave a link to your layouts so I can drool over your creations!) Enjoy! And thank you so much for supporting my designs!!!
And...the challenge count is up to thirteen. The layouts have been WONDERFUL!!! I love what you've been able to come up with! You still have until Thursday to get them in, so try to join if you can.
